Autoinfomotive – 2016 Kia Sportspace Specs. The new 2017 Kia Forte comes with a sharp design and offers lots of values. Its appeal is further broadened by its dizzying features such as a lengthy warranty coverage, a spacious interior for both coupe and sedan, easy-to-use controls, lots of standard features, and strong engines on both the Forte SX and EX trims. The Kia Forte release date should be expected sometime in the first half of 2017, at least according to various industry and media reports.
The Forte has long been the preferred choice for many people looking for peppy acceleration, a comfortable cabin, quality materials, and contemporary looks, all bundled in one attractive package that doesn’t require you to break the bank or dip into your children education funds. Its versatility is also something worth giving it credit for as it is offered in three iterations: sedan, coupe and hatchback.
The 2017 model, albeit featuring subtle tweaks almost everywhere, returns almost unchanged. One notable area that has received better-than-average change is its interior. We are particularly impressed by the level of refinement and upscale technologies offered by Kia. Some of the technologies include keyless ignition and entry, xenon headlights, USB connectivity, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, and selectable steering assist. Others are heated rear seats, and ventilated driver seats.
Under the hood, power is generated by three different engines, two of which offer respectable acceleration and power. For those who place fuel economy first place instead of excitement, disappointment lurks as none of the engines offer distinction in fuel efficiency. On the upside, though, the 1.6L turbocharged engine offered for the Forte SX versions offers exceptional power output, whereas, the 2.0L four-cylinder undeniably makes the Forte one of the quickest vehicles in its segment.

Upgrading to the Forte EX gets you a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a cooling glovebox, an adjustable steering effort, LED running lights, seventeen-inch alloy wheels, a more powerful 2.0L engine, a navigation system, a sunroof, HD radio, Kia’s Uvo eServices telematics, a rearview auto-dimming mirror, keyless entry and ignition, a sunroof, power-folding exterior mirrors, and a leather-wrapped tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel.

Generating 145 hp and 130 lbs. ft. of torque is the 1.8L 2017 Kia Forte LX trim model. A choice of either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission system sends the power to the front wheels.
More power can be had with the 2.0L four-cylinder engine that comes beneath the hood of the 2017 Kia Forte EX model. The power output here stands at a decent 173 horsepower and 154 pounds-ft. of torque.
Finally, more mojo is offered by the 201-hp- and 195 pounds-ft. of torque – generating 1.6L turbocharged four-cylinder engine offered for the 2017 Kia Forte SX version.
When it comes to the fuel economy, expect the four-cylinder with an automatic to check in at 22/30.25 mpg in the city/highway/combined. 2017 Kia Forte 0-60 mph takes 8.1 seconds with the EX trim models, and 6.9 seconds with the Forte 5 SX.
